Fighting the good fight
I just thought that you would like to see a case of someone fighting back,. There is a group of universities, libraries and private corporations that are fight a 1994 law:
At issue in this case is the scope of a 1994 called the Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act, or CALEA. It required telephone companies to rewire their networks and switches--at taxpayer expense--to guarantee police access to features such as extracting touch tones pressed during a call, conference call information, call waiting data, and so on.Just like a previous post I wrote, they want to have the open ability to tap broadband. Again, we need to protect our privacy. We are allowed to do so, it is in the constitution. Don't let them tell you what your rights are. You already know what they are, we just have to have the will to exercise our rights. They have tried to stop us through fear. I commend this group for beginning a laws suit to stop the spread of how much of our privacy they can take from us. Thank you!
